Christmas at Parker’s is always a magical affair. The Inn is decked with seasonal fresh winter evergreens and holly. Twinkly lights, roaring fires warm hospitality and menus bursting with local seasonal game and bounty make for a very thoroughly country Christmas. Below is our December menu and our festive calendar hampers fillers. Booking early is essential as with all the COVID measures in place this year we will be even more limited for space.

December 4th to 23rd – Celebrate the season menu 3 courses £35

Celebrate the season is a 3 course menu with the best of the seasons offerings to be enjoyed with family, friends or colleagues. The perfect preamble to the festive season.

Starters

Wild game livers & port parfait, cranberry chutney, toasted house made sourdough (Gluten free )

Manx queenies scallops & local apple, warm apple vinegar dressing, celeriac cream

Smoked beetroot, salt baked celeriac & seasonal apple salad, za’atar manouche Lebanese style stuffed flatbread (vegan, dairy free also available gluten free)

Confit Lancashire mushroom parfait, toasted sourdough (gluten free)

Mains

Pie of the day – one of our famous pies usually a meat/veg or vegan with creamed mash or triple cooked chips and seasonal garnish

Roasted cumin spiced Cavalo nero, confit pumpkin, tarator sauce, toasted pine nuts (vegan, dairy free, gluten free) Triple cooked chips or creamed mash

Ballotine of Newton pheasant breast stuffed with winter herbs, sherry sauce, seasonal roasted roots & greens, triple cooked chips or creamed mash (gluten free)

72hr brined Bowland beef rump served pink, mushroom ketchup, Bordelaise sauce, triple cooked chips or creamed mash(gluten free)

East coast cod loin, seasonal greens, lemon butter sauce, triple cooked chips or creamed mash

Afters

Kathy’s Christmas Nelly tart with bay leaf custard or pouring Gisburn cream

This is a sometimes twice daily changing menu depending what is in season . It is available throughout December weekends. Below is a sample of what may be on the weekend

5 spice cured & smoked local wild duck breast, orange and fennel salad 12

Wed 30th December Moorish mezza Night 35 pounds per person. Menu to be announced. Dishes will be a mix of meat, fish, vegan & vegetarian and each person choses 4 dishes per person to share with their dining companion. Maximum number of people on a table 6
